Our passion for forestry is a true family legacy, rooted in the rugged terrain of the Canadian wilderness. It all began with our parents, Cathy and Richard, who worked as forest technicians in Northern Ontario throughout the 1980s before moving west to British Columbia in 1991. In 1993, they founded Rush Creek Forest Consulting, operating it until 2006. Growing up, us brothers were their primary field crew, eagerly helping with timber cruising and tight chain traversing. While our early compensation was modest—consisting of a pack of Pokémon cards and a small bag of chips—the practical lessons were invaluable. Those long days in the bush did more than teach us the basics of the profession; they laid the foundation for the careers we would build and the high standards we hold today.

Today, that lifelong journey brings us full circle as we witness the original cutblocks we laid out with our parents return as thriving, timbered stands. This unique generational perspective fuels our profound respect for sustainable forest management—an approach where we carefully balance economic, ecological, social, and cultural values to preserve the integrity of the forests we grew up in and love. Our commitment to sustainability, reliability, and professionalism was shaped by the veteran professionals who shared their knowledge with us over our careers. Moving forward, we are proud to carry this heritage into the future, delivering forestry solutions that honour our past while responsibly stewarding the forests of tomorrow.

As the Operations Manager of our Northwestern Field Team, Ben combines engineering precision and strategic vision to solve complex forestry challenges. His background spans all phases of forest development, with technical expertise in steep-slope harvesting and complex road engineering. Beyond commercial operations, Ben leads wildfire risk reduction and fuel treatment projects across the province. Known for his collaborative approach, he works closely with major licensees, provincial agencies, and First Nations partners to deliver safe, sustainable, and technically rigorous resource management solutions.

As Operations Manager for our Southeastern Field Team, Carson combines technical expertise with a practical, solutions-oriented approach. His background spans forest development and mensuration, and GIS mapping. By pairing traditional field practices with emerging spatial technology, he brings exceptional versatility to complex forestry operations. His approachable leadership and positive attitude make him a vital force in driving team success and cohesion.

As General Manager, Jasper provides strategic direction and technical expertise across all organizational operations and field teams. His background spans site- and landscape-level planning, including total chance planning, appraisals, permitting, and visual impact assessments. Beyond commercial forestry, he is passionate about supporting communities with FireSmart programming and wildfire risk reduction projects. His strong communication and approachable style make him a unifying leader, seamlessly bridging big-picture strategy with ground-level execution.

As Field Superintendent & Safety Officer, Richard MacKenzie brings over 45 years of forest development experience to mentor field teams, maintain quality control, and streamline operations. While specialized in harvest supervision, his robust experience across all facets of forest development makes him an invaluable mentor and asset to our entire team. A 20-year volunteer firefighter, Richard also leads our Safety and Environmental Management System, ensuring rigorous workplace safety and environmental stewardship. Celebrated for his easygoing personality and an endless supply of ready jokes, Richard combines seasoned wisdom, strong communication, and approachable leadership to serve as a key pillar of our organization.
